Toby: Labrador Diagnosed With Epilepsy

Rebecca has been giving her six year old Labrador Toby Bionic Biotic for more than six months now. Toby has been suffering from numerous problems: from constantly upset stomach and ear infections to occasional seizures. Rebecca's vets concluded that Toby had epilepsy and were going to put him on epilepsy tablets. This wasn't something that Rebecca wanted to do.
Rebecca started doing research and discovered Bionic Biotic. After giving it to Toby she noticed that the supplement started to give him more energy, better digestion and the dog started to feel much better. In addition to this Rebecca also learned about wheat allergies and she soon discovered that it was not epilepsy that was causing the seizures, but wheat allergy that Toby had. She decided to change Toby's diet and give him Bionic Biotic. In less than six months he was no longer suffering from seizures and only once he had upset stomach.

Labrador with stiff joints

This is Greta, a labrador with stiff joints. Greta has been off Rymadyl and on the two teaspoon's of Mobile Bones twice a day program for a month or so. Her owner Monica is really seeing improvement!

While Rymadyl might have helped Greta's pain some, she became listless, sad and her appetite decreased. Off the drug and onto Mobile Bones returned her to her happy self.

Labrador with stiff joints

This is Bob, a Labrador with stiff joints. Bob and Esther sadly had to come back into rescue when their owner became ill and could no longer walk them. Bob is 13 years old and his hips were giving him trouble, pain and stiffness on rising and the desire to walk very far was no longer there. With the vets agreement the rescue put Bob (yellow Lab) on Mobile Bones and within 10 days started to see a difference. He was no longer stiff and eagerly went for walks with his sister Esther.
Bob ran out of Mobile Bones whilst the rescue waited for a new delivery and during those 7 days reverted to his old self, not wanting to walk and very stiff on his joints.

Elderly lab x collie

This is Jake, an elderly lab x collie.

Jake's owner Sue got him from Wood Green Animal Shelter in Godmanchester in 2000, he will be 16 around June this year.

He was really feeling down, not interested in walks and not at all happy.  Sue was looking around the internet and found Pooch & Mutt and Mobile Bones for the elderly dog. She sent away for a sample pack and gave it to Jake, and she is amazed at how he has changed!

Labrador with arthritis

This is Bailey, a labrador with arthritis.

Bailey's owner Deborah started him on Mobile Bones along with his brother Barney.

Although not as arthritic as his brother there was a noticable difference in Barney's mobility. Sadly he had an undetected heart condition and became very ill at Christmas, Deborah lost him after the new year.

Labrador with stiff joints

Labrador with stiff joints

This is Merlot, a 4½ year old Labrador

Two and a half years ago Merlot was suffering a great deal of joint pain after walks, after many visits to the vet, xrays and being prescribed pain killers it was concluded that the cause was her joints wearing.

After a great deal of research her owner, Gary, came across Mobile Bones. He has been feeding it for over 2 years and no longer uses the pain killers.

Happy Halloween From Pooch & Mutt!

Alfie dressed as 'Dracula' & Milly as his bride. Picture courtesy of Julie Roberts

Halloween is a great opportunity to get dressed up and have a good time, and providing your pet can tolerate it why not get them involved too?

Every month at Pooch & Mutt we have a photo competition and this month we have received some fabulous Halloween themed pictures that we couldn't resist sharing with you.

September's 'Photo of The Month' winner Julie Roberts submitted the picture above of her Staffy Alfie dressed very smartly as 'Dracula' with his 'Bride of Dracula' friend Milly the chocolate Labrador. Whilst the picture below features Trig hanging out with his pumpkin buddies.

Have you got a picture of your dog to share? If so, why not get involved and submit a picture of your pooch getting into the Halloween spirit. The winner will receive a Pooch & Mutt prize!

Submit your picture to our Facebook page here: http://www.facebook.com/poochandmutt
Closing date for October entries is Monday 31st.

Despite Halloween being enjoyed by many the world over, it can be quite a distressing time for a number of humans and animals, dogs included.

Here are some tips to prevent your dog from having a hellish Halloween:

1. If you're thinking of dressing up your dog make sure they are can tolerate it. Ensure the costume is safe and does not constrict your dog’s movement or their ability to breathe freely.

2. Keep your dog indoors if possible. Some trick or treaters can get a little silly and end up playing pranks on animals, leaving them scared, hurt or worse.

3. If you are having an indoor party, place your dog in a room where they won't be disturbed. They will be more comfortable in a quiet familiar place, away from loud noises and groups of people.

4. Leave a TV or radio playing in the dog’s room to help mask loud noises. The constant ringing of the doorbell can sometimes be very upsetting for dogs.
