Missi: 14 Year old Spaniel with stiff joints

More than three years ago, on the 29th of January, 2010, Lindsay got in touch with us for the first time to tell us about how well her eleven year old Spaniel Missi was doing on Mobile Bones. Now Missi is fourteen and a half. Lindsay informed us that Missi is still doing really well on Mobile Bones. Missi is lively as ever, but because of her old age and kidney problems she is now on a special diet, but Lindsay still continues to give her Mobile Bones.

Lindsay told us that Missi is now blind, but she still loves running and Lindsay says that it's all down to Mobile Bones.

Denzil: Boxer With Arthritis

Alison heard about Pooch & Mutt on Joanne Good’s Barking at the Moon programme about three or four months ago.  On that very same day she has decided to take her beloved boxer dog, Denzil, off the prescription food vet had recommended to her as Denzil was experiencing arthritis stiffness in his left hip and front legs.  

The prescribed food was putting him completely off his food (something unheard of in 8 years!), was making his very mopey and it was full of chemicals and derivatives. Great Dane with arthritis

This is Vegas, a 4 year old Great Dane with Arthritis. (and Morgan a 14 year old Black Lab, Dingo 12 year old chocolate lab and Radar 1 year old Hungarian Vizsla.)

Vegas was diagnosed with arthritis at the age of 1. His owner Catherine has fought with him for 3 years, struggling to try and administer seraquin tablets on a daily basis. Vegas loves the taste of Mobile Bones and he is normally only interested in chicken or cheese!

He is now on his regular consistent dosage of Mobile Bones, it helps greatly and he has no “off” days.

Yorkshire terrier with dry itchy skin

This is Sasha, a Yorkshire Terrier with dry, itchy and weepy skin. Sasha, is a great fan of Pooch & Mutt’s Bionic Biotic and Mobile Bones. Her owner Krysia thinks she’s doing extremely well considering her age of 14 and a half and her skin problems have all cleared up! It took just 6 weeks and her arthritic leg improved in 4 weeks time.

Welsh Terrier/Spaniel cross with stiff joints

This is Barney, an elderly (age 15) Welsh Terrier/ Spaniel cross who has been creaky for the last few years. Barney's owner Mike read about Mobile Bones in Horse & Hound and was so impressed that it is now a regular part of Barney's diet. Since he started taking Mobile Bones Barney can keep up with his friend Toby and still gets to the stick first!

Labrador with stiff joints

This is Greta, a labrador with stiff joints. Greta has been off Rymadyl and on the two teaspoon's of Mobile Bones twice a day program for a month or so. Her owner Monica is really seeing improvement!

While Rymadyl might have helped Greta's pain some, she became listless, sad and her appetite decreased. Off the drug and onto Mobile Bones returned her to her happy self.

Newfoundland with arthritis

This is Angel, a Newfoundland with arthritis. Angel, is coming up to eight years old and for the last few months has been on metacam for her much troubling osteo athritic problem in her right elbow.

Her owner Graham was concerned with the side effects of metacam , and is pleased to say that since Angel has been taking Mobile Bones her condition has remarkably improved, and she is now completely weaned off metacam. She is almost now back to her old self , enjoying walking and playing with the other dogs.

Husky with hip displaysia

This is Willow, a 2.5 year old Husky who was diagnosed with hip dysplasia last year.

His owner Carly started doing some research online and came across the Pooch & Mutt website and ordered some Mobile Bones and continued to give it to Willow for 2 or 3 months. In the meantime Carly also stopped giving her the Metacam. Willow seemed to be doing really well, but Carly still wasn’t convinced it was down to the Mobile Bones, she thought Willow was just having a good spell!

Then she ran out of Mobile Bones, within a week and half Willow was back at the vets and she could hardly walk, every time she attempted to get up she yelped it was heart breaking!

Labrador with stiff joints

This is Bob, a Labrador with stiff joints. Bob and Esther sadly had to come back into rescue when their owner became ill and could no longer walk them. Bob is 13 years old and his hips were giving him trouble, pain and stiffness on rising and the desire to walk very far was no longer there. With the vets agreement the rescue put Bob (yellow Lab) on Mobile Bones and within 10 days started to see a difference. He was no longer stiff and eagerly went for walks with his sister Esther.

Bob ran out of Mobile Bones whilst the rescue waited for a new delivery and during those 7 days reverted to his old self, not wanting to walk and very stiff on his joints.

Collie with joint stiffness

This is Brandon, a collie with joint stiffness. Brandon's owner Karen got him from the Border Collie Trust in Colton Staffordshire. He had been in kennels for 2 years he was very stressed and very stiff in his joints. Karen made a commitment to him to do everything she could to get him back to a calm, happy and mobile dog again. He has been taking Mobile Bones now for 2 years and has gradually got better and better. Brandon walks for miles and miles with Karen and they enjoy a very active and fun life together.

Staffie cross with elblow dysplasia

This is Ray, a 4 year staffie cross, diagnosed with both sides elbow displasya at aged 9 months. He is doing very well at the moment and has been on Mobile Bones for several years now. His owner, Donatella, has tried other glucosamine product combos over the years and Mobile Bones is the one that has given the best results for Ray. Ray is a lot less stiff then he used to be and hardly limps. He has never been as mobile as he is now!

Staffordshire Bull Terrier With Arthritis

This is Megan, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier with osteoarthritis in her back legs.

At the age of ten years Megan has always been fit so it was really sad for her owner Moira to see her in pain and slowed down. The vet prescribed the anti-inflammatory metacam but Moira was told there are side effects if Megan remained on it for too long. Moira noticed it took the pain away but, was worried about Megan being on it long term.

She then found Pooch & Mutt and read about Mobile Bones and sent off immediately. Megan has now been having two daily teaspoons for a month, and half the dose of Metacam. The change in her is absolutely amazing.

Elderly lab x collie

This is Jake, an elderly lab x collie.

Jake's owner Sue got him from Wood Green Animal Shelter in Godmanchester in 2000, he will be 16 around June this year. 

He was really feeling down, not interested in walks and not at all happy.  Sue was looking around the internet and found Pooch & Mutt and Mobile Bones for the elderly dog. She sent away for a sample pack and gave it to Jake, and she is amazed at how he has changed!

Retrievers with hip dysplasia and colitis

This is Angus, a golden retriever with hip dysplasia and Kite, a springer spaniel x retriever with colitis.

Their owner Lynda has used Pooch and Mutt for many years now and each puppy she has starts off on it.

At present she has a 12 year old golden retriever (Angus) with hip dysplasia who does very well on Mobile Bones and a year old black springer spaniel x retriever (Kite) who is also on Mobile Bones and both are on Bionic Biotic as well.

Rottweiler with hip dysplasia

This is Raven, a Rottweiler who was diagnosed with hip dysplasia when he was 8 months old.

His owner Mel watched his diet and weight but noticed Raven limp slightly when he got up so she started him on Mobile Bones and has seen a marked improvement.

Labrador with arthritis

This is Bailey, a labrador with arthritis.

Bailey's owner Deborah started him on Mobile Bones along with his brother Barney.

Although not as arthritic as his brother there was a noticable difference in Barney's mobility. Sadly he had an undetected heart condition and became very ill at Christmas, Deborah lost him after the new year.

Collie with joint pain

This is Sam, a Collie with joint pain.

Sam hurt his back and his owner, Anthony, tried Mobile Bones as an alternative to the pain killer prescribed by the vet.

Since taking it a fellow dog walker who knows Sam was amazed at his improvement and renewed energy.

Anthony plans to keep Sam on Mobile Bones for good.

Labrador with stiff joints

This is Merlot, a 4½ year old Labrador

Two and a half years ago Merlot was suffering a great deal of joint pain after walks, after many visits to the vet, xrays and being prescribed pain killers it was concluded that the cause was her joints wearing.

After a great deal of research her owner, Gary, came across Mobile Bones. He has been feeding it for over 2 years and no longer uses the pain killers.

Gordon setter with mobility issues

This is Sethi, he is a Gordon Setter who has weak cruciates and a bulging disk in his spine.

His owner Sue had the choice of having both of his back legs and spine operated on or wait and see how he got on.

She was unsure before putting him on Mobile Bones but thought it was worth a go. After a year I stopped feeding Mobile Bones and he became gradually stiffer over a period of 2 - 3 weeks. Within a week of putting him back on it he was a much happier and obviously had less stiffness.

Boxer with stiff joints

This is Henry, a Boxer. In 2009 his shoulder and elbow joints stiffened considerably and his owner, Suzanne, saw he was becoming quite grumpy.

She found found Pooch and Mutt products at the 2008 Blenheim Palace Game Fair and bought both Bionic Biotic and Mobile Bones for Nell, a Springer Spaniel, now in the great dog 'running-about field in the sky'.

Suzanne had previously had a good experience of Blue Chip Feed Balancer for Horses from Pooch & Mutt's sister company.

After about two months of dedicated feeding of the supplement, Henry became noticeably more free-moving in his shoulders and much keener to 'run around' than lag behind on walks.
